What You'll Do

As a Machine / Plasma Table Operator, you'll play an important role in producing quality materials while helping keep production running safely and efficiently.

  • Machine Setup & Operation: Safely set up and operate plasma cutting tables, press brakes, roll formers, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment to produce materials according to specifications.
  • Cut Sheets & Fabrication: Read cut sheets, work orders, and production drawings to accurately manufacture customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Perform in-process inspections and verify finished materials meet drawing specifications, engineering standards, and quality expectations.
  • Production Support: Monitor machine performance during production, report equipment concerns promptly, and work with supervisors to minimize downtime.
  • Organization & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
  • Teamwork: Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure production goals are met and customer expectations are exceeded.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and takes pride in producing quality work.

  • Mechanical Aptitude & Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills with the ability and desire to learn new equipment, manufacturing processes, and fabrication techniques.
  • Machine Operation & Fabrication: Basic metal fabrication experience and experience operating manufacturing equipment preferred. Experience with plasma tables, press brakes, roll formers, or similar equipment is a plus. Ability to read cut sheets and use precision measuring tools is beneficial.
  • Safety First: Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and following all shop safety procedures. Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to machine warnings, alarms, and verbal instructions while working around manufacturing equipment.
  • Dependability & Work Ethic: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, reliable attendance, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience: One to two years of machine operation, manufacturing, fabrication, or related experience preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work around manufacturing equipment throughout the day. Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed in non-climate-controlled environments.
    • Must be able to hear alarms, equipment signals, and verbal communication in a busy shop environment.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
